I would like to charge users for certain listing categories. For example a coffee shop registration in the Coffee Shops category is free and a property listing in the Real Estate category is paid. Is that possible?

it is possible to create a paid listing product and link it to your 'Real Estate' category. Your directory members will have to order this listing product to post property listings to this category.

You can also configure the paid product to offer more features for your real estate listings and link specific listing form fields to the product and category to make your property listings use only real estate related form fields.
