I am looking for a business directory plugin to create a city guide for a local business. I would like you to answer my questions before buying it.

  1. What is the procedure for the guest user to claim a listing?
  2. Do guests have to create an account to claim a listing? Will they be prompted to create an account as a part of the purchase process?
  3. Does guest have to pay to claim a listing? Can I assign multiple premium packages they can choose?
  4. If a claim request is approved, does that user become the owner of the listing?
  5. Will the plugin generate new billing cycle invoice automatically and send a payment reminder for the claimed listing?

Hello,

thank you for your inquiry!

Please note that phpListings is not a WordPress plugin but a standalone PHP script that is based on a custom framework created exclusively for this script.

When you create or import a listing via administrator panel you can set it as 'Unclaimed' for any registered user of the directory to be able to claim it by submitting a claim request.

The 'Claim' button appears next to the listing title on the listing page for any visitor of the website to be able to submit a claim request and leads the user to a claiming form that may ask the visitor to create an account or log in. The claim request form includes a message to the website administrator for the verification or contact information and a list of available listing products the claimed listing can be assigned to (you can easily set any listing pricing plan to be available for claiming). Once the claim request is submitted the directory administrator has to approve or reject it. If the claim request is approved, the user who claimed a listing receives an email notification and becomes the owner of this listing and, if the selected listing product is not free, has to pay the invoice to activate the listing product.

The script automatically generates new billing cycle invoices and emails payment notifications to the listing owner.

Thank you.

Hi thanks, what happens if the claimed listing invoice doesn't get paid?

Hello,

the script will send 3 payment reminders to the new listing owner keeping the listing in the 'unpublished' state. You, as the administrator, can transfer the listing back to the administrator account and set it as 'Unclaimed' to make this listing available for claiming again.

Thank you.

No packages are available in the Pricing plan dropdown when claiming a listing. What am I doing wrong?
