Would it be possible to have approved listings published to Mastodon as well as other social media, eg Facebook, WhatsApp etc?

A customisable message including a link back to the item and the featured image would work well.

This might need to take account of the selected language in the listing URL.

you can use a third-party service like Zapier to automate this process. Simply create a new Zap that monitors the RSS feed generated by phpListings, detects new records, and posts them to Facebook or any other supported social network using your custom template. The RSS feed already includes the listing title, short description, logo, and URL.
